From the General Manager

Well it has not turned out to be the spring we hoped for.  Due to the weather the course is about a month behind schedule for growing grass. Even though the moisture is needed it would have been nice to have it in the form of rain instead of the snow that closed the course for a couple weeks. The course just needs some warm weather and it will green up fast!  The course has been relatively slow through the month but that will change with better weather ahead.

Thanks to everyone who showed up to help uncover the greens and clean out the cart barn. The parking lot also got the dust control solution applied like last year.  We also just fixed the outlets in the cart barn, every electric cart will now have there own power box with two outlets per stall.  Any electric cart on the outside wall will need to be moved to the middle row so that we don't have to run extension cords any more.  Please see me and I will assign you a new spot if needed.  We are also installing more lighting around the cart barn.

If you purchased a certificate this year and have not signed the membership dues and bylaws agreement, please come see me. You only need to sign it once.  As a reminder certificate holders can book tee times two weeks in advance at Livingstongolfcourse.com.

Our second Ladies Clinic is tonight from 6:00-7:30pm where we will learn how to chip.  The last clinic is next Wednesday where we will be learning the full swing.  Feel free to call the clubhouse or go to our website to sign up.  We also have team spots open for the Memorial Day four person Scramble on Monday the 30th if you want to get a team together and sign up, please call the clubhouse to sign up for tournaments.

Men's League Officially starts tomorrow for team play at 3:00 and 5:30.  You must call in your team before you play league for the first time no later then 1:00pm the day of league play.  You can show up as a single sub but there is no guarantee you will play without a partner.  You will not be able to play if you sign up after 1:00pm on Thursdays. After the first week that you play it is assumed you are playing the following week unless you let tell us different. If you no call/no show for league and are expected to be playing, you will be docked 5 rusty cup points.  Senior League has started and will be a shotgun start at 9:00am every Tuesday generally unless there is frost.  Morning Ladies League is at 10:00am this month and will be at 9:00am when official league starts June 1st.  Ladies evening league is still at 6:00pm on Wednesdays.

I hope the bad weather is behind us and we can start enjoying some nice days on green grass.  If you have any questions, concerns or comments please come see me or email us at livingstongolf@yahoo.com.  Thank you for supporting Livingston Golf Course.

Sincerely,
